Well, I started this blog as I thought I would have more time to sit and type, turns out I was wrong. After the sale of Marley and Me, I dove right into a career in sales, working from home. Like any new sales position, I need a spend the next few months really getting to know my product, my customer's, and how to balance all of this with my family. It has been some what of a challenge, and I am completely exhausted, but looking forward to what this could lead to. I am enjoying forming relationships with store owners, as being a former store owner myself I am not your typical sales rep.
I have met with all my distributors now, and am working for three. I am repping for Urban Bubbles-who carries a line of current, unique and hip must have items for baby and child, Childish Notions-who brings in functionable baby accessories made in France, and all with baby's safety in mind, and CadCor Innovations Inc-who imports the latest eco friendly items from Europe, with an eye for sustainable products and packaging. A nice variety of products to be representing.
Being on the road a few days a week with a 6 month old is slightly insane, but Sophie now has no choice but to enjoy car rides. My mom sometimes comes along, and will take Sophie for a walk while I visit the store owners. The best part is that I still get to hang out with her while I work and earn money, but that I get to see all the coolest children's and maternity stores across Southwestern Ontario!
